Great park. Very clean and spacious. The circular route gets you easily and quickly to every venue, and is excellent to bike around. Plenty of fields and courts, and the playground is perfect for the kids. Haven't tried the archery range yet, probably will someday. We visit during the week, could imagine it gets busy the weekends but there's a lot of parking and so much space don't think it would be a problem. Highly recommended for a variety of sports and recreation.

Only hill on the South Shore. Plus the Nigerian dwarf goats are friendly.

The coolest little park! What an absolute underrated Long Island GEM! Dwarf Goats that take care of trail maintenance, windmill, sundial, and from the top one can see NYC, Jones Beach, Hofstra, etc. Cannot recommend enough this beautiful place. It means so much to me. In the late summer/early fall the sun sets between the two smokestacks. In the summer afternoons and evenings, when at the top of the park near the sundial calendar, you can hear and see clearly the little league games that happen below. All of the trails use seashells that would have otherwise gone to waste in construction of the park. It should be noted that so many of the amazing aspects of the park are supported through Eagle Scouts and volunteer work. Although, the town uses a good portion of resources to maintain the park as well. In the summer, there are kayaking wildlife tours, in addition to open kayak rentals sans tours.

Beautiful and easy natural hike in Merrick area. Different lengths of hikes available and people can switch the trail at certain points of their hikes. Each section of the trail is clearly marked, so never need to worry about getting lost on the trail. No entrance / parking fee at all. The goats by the entrance are a plus, my kids love them. The two Little ponds on the top are amazing. The view from the fishing deck is awesome. The trails are mostly rocky trails, but stroller friendly. Saw lots of families with little kids in this preserve. The only bathrooms available are the ones near the goats pen by the entrance.

Nice park. The playground area is really unique, the kids really enjoy running around it and under the bridge. There is a good amount of courts, plenty of parking and it seems very clean. The waterfront area looks good, the 8 year old wants to go fishing there and it seems liken it's a good place to try.

What a great park. It has picnic tables, baseball fields, Bochi court, tennis courts, walking trails and much more. Parking is easy and I feel very safe there. Sunsets are beautiful. Only thing is, the bugs can be tough to deal with, especially at dusk.

Great park. Usually pretty empty. Great views of Jones Beach. Lots of geese and green flies. Ugh. Otherwise it's great. Love doing photoshoots here.

Kind of a flop beach in my opinion, but it is great for mature persons and children. There's a cute little park for babies and I did wanna go on it, but I'd thought that'd be inappropriate. You can't even swim □ There's like so much seaweed. But overall great little place to sit out and get melanoma!

I really liked this place. I wasn't sure what to expect.
It's not tremendous, but they keep it very clean and there's a variety of stuff to see and learn about. It's not expensive at all. We were more than happy to pay a small admission that most likely keeps the tenants fed and cared for.
Oh... can't forget, the people are really great.

A nice park with a lake(don't swim or fish) for kids and family! There is a baseball field, basketball, tennis, and handball court. There are separate play grounds for smaller and bigger kids. There are plenty of gazebos and plenty of grass for picnics or parties. I just wish they would fix all of the sprinklers in the play area

Winter festival was a great experience. The old Pullman car was fun to explore. Had many local businesses that were of interest and I actually had fun doing a planking challenge for a local gym. Look at the determination here. Fun all around. Strongly suggest future participation.
